Helping you decide on choosing your perfect colour
We understand that your first time receiving colour at a new salon can be nerve racking. Here @ B-beautified we believe the only way to ensure your visit is both relaxing and effective is to communicate with your stylist.
There are many options and variations available when deciding on the perfect colour Here we have created a list of colour techniques which will help guide you in the right direction to achieve your desired look.
Highlights/Lowlights – Can be applied in many ways to create truly unique looks. Each individual foil is placed precisely onto the hair using a vast range of tones & shades. Pre lightening or permanent tint can also be used to lighten the hair creating the perfect highlighted look.
Roots need to be touched up usually every 3 months
Sample Foils – This application is perfect for first time colouring or for an accent in one particular area (i.e, a fringe or parting) Up to 10 foils are woven or sliced into the hair. This technique can create subtle or dramatic results or just brighten up your existing hair colour.

Permanent Colour which consists of both peroxide and ammonia, this technique can be applied across the full head or onto small sections of hair.
The colour will last until hair grows out and roots will need to be touched up every 4-6 weeks.
Semi-Permanent Colour -which contains no ammonia and only a low percent of peroxide. This colour can only darken hair or add Tone. Even the mildest colour rinse can create effective results and shine.
Most gentle to hair, lasts up to 6 weeks.
Balayage – French meaning is “to sweep” this technique is applied by using pre-lightner to the hair using the tip of the brush to coat the front and back of the hair strands creating natural sunkissed highlights.
This colour will grow out and roots are not as noticeable as other colour processes.
Ombre Hair – This refers to the gradual lightening of the hair strand, usually fading from a darker colour near the roots to a lighter one at the ends. Ombre can be very subtle or very striking.

For any colour service you will require a skin test 48 hours prior to your appointment.
As professionals we endeavour to keep you from harm at all times.
We have A DUTY OF CARE to ensure that you are allergy free when it comes to hair colouring, please come in to our salon at a convenient time for you to undertake your specific skin test. This will only take a few minutes and will be applied to your skin in avery discreet place, normally behind your ear.

Volumizers are a great technique to create body to your hair.
This service can take your hair from flat and lifeless to big and voluminous in an hour. Many of you have tried multiple variations of hair products to help keep the body in your hair with most failing to impress. With a volumizer, it chemically takes your hair through a change that will last up to 8 weeks, making it easier for you to maintain the volume in your hair everyday.
Perming has a stigma of being “old-fashioned” and only used for the older generation along with purple rinses. This couldn’t be any further away from the truth. Perming has many variations and techniques, from big bouncy curls to soft natural waves perming is more than what many think. Ask your stylist to explain in further depth to help you make your decision.
